Webinar: Do Wars Actually End in the 21st Century? Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at 10 am EST
On Tuesday, July 28, the End of War Project will launch our 2020 Global Dialogue with Do Wars Actually End in the 21st Century? Presented in cooperation with the Modern War Institute at West Point, this conversation with Naz Modirzadeh (Harvard Law School) and Seth Jones (Center for Strategic and International Studies) will examine interdisciplinary questions about what victory and defeat mean in conflicts with terrorist and insurgent groups, and how international law provides guidance or demands further thinking on these questions.
The End of War Project is a multi-year project led by the Emory Law School Center for International and Comparative Law (Professor Laurie Blank, director) and the Lauder School of Government, Diplomacy and Strategy (Dr. Daphné Richemond-Barak) to explore a range of legal, policy, moral and strategic challenges in ending complex counterterrorism and counterinsurgency conflicts.
